Two miscreants on motorbikes opened fire on a cafe manager in Jaora ward, Ratlam district, on Thursday night after an argument over the phone, police said. Cafe manager Shahjad Khan was shot in the shoulder and is undergoing treatment in hospital.

The cafe manager Shahjad Khan, was shot in the shoulder and is being treated in hospital. Khan’s co-manager was lucky to be clean-shaven during the attack, police said.
The incident took place around 10 p.m., when the defendants, Alfez and Waseem, came to the Jamjam cafe near a dargah. Both Khan and his co-manager are residents of Rajasthan. Two days ago, the accused went to their home looking for them, which resulted in heated arguments over the phone, police said.
City police station in charge VD Joshi said Shahjad was sitting in a cafe on Thursday evening when the two defendants came by on bicycles and fired two bullets at him. One of the two bullets hit Khan. “The defendants have been arrested for attempted murder,” added Joshi.tnn
