A cardiologist will address a Long COVID support group in Manistee on Thursday

MANISTEE — Cardiologist Kristen Maurice, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, will discuss the long-term cardiovascular manifestations of COVID-19 as part of Munson Healthcare’s Long COVID Support Group virtual meeting from 5-6:30 p.m. on May 5, according to a press release from Munson Healthcare.

The public is invited to join the presentation. Registration is required to attend. People can register by going to munsonhealthcare.org/longcovid. Once on the page, people can click on the event date to go to the registration page.

Dr. Maurice is the Medical Director of the Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic. She is certified in Cardiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Heart Transplantation, Left Ventricular Assist Devices and Pulmonary Hypertension. His presentation will last 15-20 minutes during the first half of the meeting, followed by a question and answer session.

The second half of the meeting will be an open discussion facilitated by trained professionals to help foster an environment of support and camaraderie among participants.

The Long COVID Support Group meets on the first Thursday of every month via Zoom.
